Together with his brothers and sisters, the twelve-year-old Chinmoy joins the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry where he stays for the next twenty years before coming to the West. His eldest brother Hriday had already left the family home in Chittagong almost twelve years earlier to join the Ashram. On this day, all seven children of Shashi Kumar and Yogamaya Ghosh are reunited.
