On August 14th, 1945, a young Chinmoy wrote this poem in honour of Sri Aurobindo's upcoming birthday (15th August). Nearly 50 years later Sri Chinmoy then set this poem to music on July 8th, 1995.
Later, Sri Chinmoy recited the poem and also sang a solo performance. The song has become referred to as Dyulok chariye, August 15th and also affectionately as "The Long Song".

Dyulok chariye nara narayan
Sparshila aji dhuli
Tar jaya gan chalo mora kari
Sakala karma bhuliGod in human form
Descends from Heaven today
To touch and feel
The breath of earth-dust.
