Between October 22nd, 1979 and July 3rd, 1983, Sri Chinmoy composed 10,000 Flower-Flames a poetry series published in 100 different volumes.

To mark the completion of the poetry series, the poet, Sri Chinmoy held a celebration at Aspiration-Ground, New York on 3rd July 1983.
