Some of Sri Chinmoy’s aphorisms and meditations (nos. 75-168) are placed inside fortune cookies, which he hands out to his disciples in the Manhattan Centre. He then asks them to read out the meditation in their cookie and proceeds to elaborate on each one. A similar meeting was held for the New York Centre disciples on 1 September 1974 where he handed out aphorisms (nos. 1-74). All 168 aphorisms are later published in his book, Fortune-Philosophy.

Sri Chinmoy embarks on a whirlwind Peace Concert tour through Germany, which will include performing in a different city every day for eight straight days. The tour begins with a  Peace Concert at Stadthalle, Colombi Park, in Freiburg, then moves to Mannheim, Nurnberg Munich, Dresden, Berlin, Dortmund and Hamburg.
