Sri Chinmoy honours Greek ultra-distance champion Yiannis Kouros, the winner of the Sri Chinmoy 24 Hour Road Race, at Flushing Meadow Park in Queens, New York. Yiannis broke three world records during the event — 100 miles in a time of 11:46:36, 200 kilometres in a time of 15:11:48, and a distance of 177 miles in 24 hours.
