Sri Chinmoy meets with Vladimir Petrovsky, U.N. Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, in New York. Later that evening, Sri Chinmoy meets for an hour with President Gorbachev’s daughter, Irina, who is flying back to Russia the next day.
