In honour of Sri Chinmoy’s birthday, his students hold a parade along Madison Avenue, from 23rd Street to 72nd Street, in Manhattan, New York, NY, USA. Sri Chinmoy walks along with the  marchers and floats. Afterwards, everyone goes to the Jharna-Kala Gallery in Grand Central Station for a special meditation and a talk by Sri Chinmoy, entitled ‘Aspiration, Vision, Speed and Strength’. In the evening,  Sri Chinmoy and his students travel to Stamford, Connecticut, to watch Jala Ramane — an all-female water ballet — performed by the Centre swimming teams.
