Sri Chinmoy lifted a total weight of 95,290 lbs. with 65 lifts in a single day. The morning session was held at Aspiration-Ground, and the evening session at York College, Jamaica, NY, USA.

Lifts also included Steve Finley, three-time Golden Gloves Baseball Champion (the final lift of the evening, and last ever of the standing one-arm lifts); Paula Newby-Fraser, eight-time female Ironman Triathlon Champion; Olympian Sudhahota Carl Lewis for the 4th time; and Mahasamrat Bill Pearl, five-time Mr. Universe, for the 12th time. Sri Chinmoy began a project to lift 1,000 lambs as part of his ‘Lifting Up the World with a Oneness-Heart’ programme. On his first lifting day, he lifted 100 three-month-old Romney Cross lambs (1-100) at the Agriculture Research farm in Whatawhata, New Zealand. Lifting four lambs at a time, he performed 25 lifts in less than one hour, for a total weight of 8,713 lbs.
